Is there a better trigger out there for the 64 that would be better then the factory one? And if so would it need to be installed by a gunsmith?

Thanks

Although there are others on this forum with more knowledge than me, I think it may depend on if your trigger is a single stage or two stage trigger. The 64 action will have one or the other, depending on the model. The 64 MPR has a two stage adjustable trigger, while the model 1416 has a single stage, adjustable trigger. As for the Savage Anschutz, I "think" the trigger is a single stage. Just out of curiosity, what is the problem? Perhaps there's an easy fix.

If your trigger has an aluminum housing then you have the best one available. I think 5 or 6 oz is the minimum. On the two alloy bodied 64 triggers I have you can adjust out the first stage but then you have a lot of sear engagement. There aren't enough adjustment screws to really allow for a BR type of pull and the torsion style springs used don't lend themselves to home tinkering.

Maybe the mail don't work to West Va.
Canjar has been out of business for 15 years
