I bought a gun that has loc tite where the base sits on the receiver.How do I remove this without removing the finish of the action?Thanks

You can try acetone
the other option is us a heat gun to soften the lock tite and use a 0000 steel wool soaked with oil to rub it off.
Don't use the acetone and heat together for obvious reasons.
