Removing J lock on a Stainless Bolt?

Before I invest in a Remington stainless 221 Fireball Rifle that has the J lock, could you give me a hint of how much trouble and expense it will take for me to alter it to none "J" lock bolt?

I'm hoping a stainless shroud is available, and the parts are something that won't be expensive, nor will it look terribly mismatched or cheesey.

I'm wanting to use the stainless action for a custom Vartarg rifle, and so am studying my homework beforehand.

I've seen the shroud on GunBroker before, I think in the $5-10 range, I believe Hartells and Midway both sell them. If nothing else, Google it.

J Lock

Changing the J Lock from a Remington is more than changing the shround.

It requires buying a complete new shroud/firing pin assy as crb alluded to.

The only part of a ISS/J lock firing pin assy that is interchangeable with a standard Rem firing pin assy is the striker cross pin.
