removing a bbl

removing a bbl WITHOUT MARKING/MARRING IT?

I HAVE REMOVED A FEW BBLS FROM ACTIONS but they have mainly been milsurplus or scrap. i have a nice high gloss blue rem bbl to remove and resale.
would like to not mark the bbl as it is in good shape internally.

what would your reccomendations be for setting the bbl up in the bbl vice ?

wrap it in a 3x5 index card and use powdered rosin to keep it from slipping.

I use steel bushings turned to fit fairly closely the barrel being removed... and with powered rosin... I don't mark high polish barrels at all...
