Remington700 accidential discharges

I was on Remington's site and found the response to the cnbc show on unwanted discharges. This will blow your mind. It shows exactly what

I don't know. The reason that I put up the link is that copying and pasting what you had in your post, didn't get me there, so I looked around and eventually found what I thought you were referring to, and then copied the url while on the page where the actual video was, and pasted it into my post. I was just making what you referred to easier for a reader to get to.
 
I don't know if anyone caught it but that Barber family, supposedly farmers put the ring around the round bale upside down. Maybe they were actors for MNBC.

I'm more than a little familiar with Remington actions and know that there is not, and never has been, any problem with accidental discharges. If you start screwing with a stock trigger unit, you can screw it up but I've been around literally millions of rounds fired from Remington pattern actions and know that it is a solid and reliable system.

This is disinformation.
 
The person holding the firearm in each instance did not have the firearm pointed in a safe direction or no bodily harm would have came to anybody. One of the main rules in firearm safety ;always have the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

That is common when using the bale feeder for horses. It's done because if they reach though the feeding holes they wear a spot of their mane out where it rubs on the top bar.
I am in no way supporting those who claim that 700s go off accidentally, just thought you would like to know why the bale feeder is upside down.

It makes me wonder about some of the posts saying " once I removed the lawyer pin". The fact is the Remington trigger or any other production trigger is designed to work SAFELY as designed. If one wants a lighter pull they should get a trigger that is safely designed to work that way. Dumb just seems to know no bounds! Greg
