Are you going for............................
varmints, or deer?? Either way, if you're in some open territory, the 110 Hornady might be worth considering. I've gotten good grouping and great terminal performance w/that bullet on both targets. As for what level to shoot, I don't have any experience w550, so I can't say.
But I will say, the most important thing is to keep that chamber clean. If it is flawless, Keep It That Way. If you get some pitting in there, that's NOT good for an autoloader. I always recommend they be cleaned as soon after they've been used as possible. (Re-contour a ratchet-type '06 chamber brush to work in the .270, it helps a heap on getting that chamber gunk out.) "I'll do it tomorrow" readily turns into next season, then? Surprise, you got a PROBLEM. And as for "cheap blastin' ammo"?? Lots of people will use "mildly corrosive" surplus in a rifle, then wonder why all this "red stuff" is comin' out of the barrel. (I know, its a .270, but I'm saying this because I saw someone who'd gotten surplus '06, dumped everything BUT the primer, then proceeded to neck it down for .270. After a month or so, NEW barrel time.) Another took a '99 Savage, a 110 DL I believe, really fine looking gun, beautiful condition, did it in w/surplus .308....$600 later, she was ready to go again, but it didn't look as it did from the factory, as, well, things had changed between when he got the gun and when they stopped making them. Anyway, Good Luck, and Good Fun.
