Looking for instruction sheet on the Remington International Match 2 OZ trigger. There are three screws on the bottom of trigger. Need to lighten without screwing up the OT and Sear engagement.

I seem to recall that RW Hart & Son of Nescopeck PA. Made some of the 2 oz triggers for Remington. I do not know if this trigger was some of their work but they could probably tell you. I had one of their triggers 20+ years ago and I remember it came with a little sheet of instructions which is long gone but they could probably provide you a copy.

In our last move, I lost my series on "Benchrest Triggers" by Ottson (Rifle Magazine, but he did cover the Remington 2-ounce triggers. As I remember, both Shilen & Hart made them; the design might have been a little different. Then Mike Walker did yet another design -- more economical to make -- and Remington made them in-house. Hart & Shilen each received permission to continue making the "old" triggers under their own names. You probably need to know which one you have. The Ottson articles would probably have the answer.

Fred J-Would you like to sell it????

I'll have to get mine out & double check, before reciting which screw adjusts which function.

The Remington International trigger group has the fwd/aft adjustable trigger shoe.

Not mine

Dan:
It belongs to a friend that just purchased it. The trigger was a little stiff, and he wanted to clean it up and adjust if necessary. If you can provide an adjustment procedure, he would appreciate it.

40-X IMR Trigger

Dan,

Just so we all don't get confused the early Rem/Hart 2-oz triggers were, as you mention adjustable for LOP, but they were not 2 stage. They were single stage that Rem. called direct acting.
The Rem. IMR rifles were all single shot as I recall.

BrianJ,
You are correct, the Rem Int'l is single stage.
I haven't used mine in years.

Some people collect cartridges,I collect trigger groups.

Fred J,
Remington Int'l trigger group adj screws fwd,middle,aft are as follows;
Forward screw-sear engagement
middle screw-trigger pull weight
aft screw-over travel adjustment

The OEM Remington International trigger group shoe attachment rail was machined from bar stock where as the Hart was a stronger cast/forged piece if memory serves me.
