Remington 700

Will a 700 fit into a 40X stock?
I thought they the same footprint, I have a
700 SA BDL and looking at a 40X stock
I understand would have to change it to single shot
but will it fit?

The only difference is the 700 has been milled out for a magazine...

If you have an old 40X stock you may have to tweak the cut for the bolt handle and safety lever. Otherwise, go for it.

Tthe 40-X is made with a magazine if you wish, I have two of them. They are used as a NRA match rifle.
