Replaced jlock firing pin assembly with a Callahan traditional non-iss firing pin assembly. The bolt is now hard to lock and unlock. has anyone done this conversion and if so have you had this kind of problem?
You should deburr the ends of the firing pin spring and also polish the part of the cocking piece that bears against the cocking ramp. This will require the tools needed to remove and disassemble the firing pin assy. I also do some polishing on the shaft of the firing pin where the spring rides.
The Callahan pieces are well made but the final detailing is left up to the installer otherwise the cost of the part would be doubled.
