does ANY ONE know where I can find some mags. 5rd mags. ive looked everywhere for them. they havent been made for alittle while and remington hasnt had them for a long time. am i looking for the impossible.
 
Yup. Any dealer should be able to order you one, but probably only in 10 round capacity. Probably costs about $20.

Remington seems to be out at the moment. Look also for 5 round mags for the Model 77, as they are supposed to be interchangeable and are sometimes more readily available (not to mention cheaper). Remington lists this as a possible source: http://www.gun-parts.com/remington22rifle/.

Midway USA has the 77 mags, which work perfectly in the 541/581, Might try scrounging gun show's and out of the way gun shop's.

Did you find a listing for the 5 rounds magazines in stock? I checked today and only found the 10 rounders, which had all bad reviews.

The nylon 77 mags dont seem to work. they are just alittle different and it will split the back at the magazine guide and those are getting just as hard to find. I did find some at out back gun parts. 812.945.0480 i heard that he bought the last of remingtons inventory of them, so its the last of them. and he does have the 5 round which i think is better it makes your gun look cleaner if you dont have that mag sticking out so far.
