Remington 40XB Handstop

I was able to land a nice Remington 40XHB this last round from CMP that I am in process of refinishing for my 11 year old son. I've stripped, steamed, sanded, sanded some more, stained, filled the grain, and now building up Permalyn coats on the stock.

I've also decided to go ahead and have all the metal, including the Redfield sights blued by Mel Doyle. Problem is I am having a hard time finding the last piece which is the 40XB handstop. This is the oblong shaped stop/swivel.

Can anyone suggest anyplace other than Numrich who might be able to provide this piece so I can send the metal in for bluing?

Howdy!
They show up frequently on ebay, periodically on gunbroker.com, and more are starting to show up since the CMP sales.

Your son is a lucky young man! May you both have a wonderful time creating memories together with that rifle!

There is a guy on CMP Forum that is going to produce a run of hand stops, and will also be offering some originals so you might check there.
