Rem 700

First off I am new to the forum. I have been looking for a certain model 700 for sometime now and was told it would be better to build one? Can any of yall help me out on that? By building one do they mean buy the caliber that i want and then start tearing it down?

Quite the opposite. Buy a 700, then put on a custom barrel to the caliber you want, barrel contour, chrome moly(blued) or stainless steel, Twist rate of rifling, and length.
Next could be a custom trigger, and stock. All you need to start is a "donor rifle" and essentially only use the action. Depends on what you want to do, and have a rifle that is custom made to your specifications.
