Recoil lug

Ok ,here`s one for ya,,should a rimfire be set up with a recoil lug if it`s not a glue in????Your thoughts please..Thanks...
 
The action i`m working with now is an Anschutz model 64..
 
No,it does not have one at present..But would it benefit with having one?? Seems like most of the better 22`s comes with a lug,then when you get into the cheaper ones,they don`t have one....

Those notorious lax German engineers probably overlooked it.
 
Duh!!!

Seems to me all you have to do is determine if the action screws will prevent the receiver from moving in the stock. If not, then you need a recoil lug or more solid mounting for the action screws.

if it was a glue in would it have action screws at all? i've heard of glue ins, but never seen one before, so i have to ask this.
