Rebarrelling a 300 WSM

I have a Rem 700 SA in this caliber. thinking about rechambering and rebarrelling to a 308. Can I do this off the WSM short action platform.

You will need a new bolt, 308 has a smaller bolt face.

Can I go to a 7 WSM? They use the same bolt face, don't they?
