Hi all,

I bought a reloading press from a friend of mine a few months back but im not sure if it will work for my current rifle.

I have a 300rum and after measuring the throat on the press Im a little worried.

Will this press work for my application?

Yes, I'm sure it will work. You might have to set the Bullet on the case and then tilt it into the Die. I was told I could not load my .470 Nitro on my RCBS Junior, but I do. I load the .300 ultra on it also.
 
Not sure of what you are calling the throat???

I have a JR2 and it handles a 7 Mag with room to spare. The 300 UM has an overall lenght of about 3.6 and RM has 3.3. Midway stocks 7/8 x 14 dies for it so that is not an issue. There is no reason I am aware of that this won't work.

What I called the throat was the opening in the press where the casing goes.
