It saddens me to say that I just received a call from Ray's daughter telling me that Ray passed on Sunday morning. Ray truly enjoyed shooting IR 50/50 and ARA matches. I have scored and seen my fair share of targets over the years and Ray shot the best one I ever laid my eyes on. A 250 24X target that tied the world record at that time. I made it a point to call Ray every week, just to talk, and there was never a time that I can remember that he wouldn't ask "so what's happening in the shooting world?". Ray was a great guy and a fierce competitor. He will be missed .. Bob Holbruner

Ray was truly one of the initial masters of the sport, and a finer gentleman never drew breath. It was a great honor to come down there and shoot with him.

May God bless his family and watch over them in this time of of time of sorrow.

Ray was a gentleman in every sense of the word. It was always a pleasure to shoot with him. For a guy who says he could never see the sporter target, he seemed to win a lot. Ray was one of the good ones, he will be missed. Our deepest condolences to his family.

We are all lessened by having Ray no longer with us. As others have said he was always the gentleman and sportsman. Rest in peace Ray. bob

Very sorry to hear of Ray's passing, or Mr. Price as I called him, and he always corrected me when I called him that, by telling me to call him Ray. As was said, he was one of the best shooters, and an even better guy. I had the utmost respect for Mr. Price. Rest in peace friend.

For those of us who had known and shot with Ray, we are the better for it. I only shot with him less than a deozen times, and yet will always remember him. May God bless Ray and his family.
