Stopped by this range a few weeks just to see what it looked like (the WC as well). Really wonderfull place...the range looks different with wind flags and targets.

Dave the bears were there and...

raiding the trash cans every night. Sunday evening there was one prowling around the creek bottom in front of the cabins; several people were out taking pictures of him. Sat. night one bit into the apt. refrig. the camper next to me had on a table o/side his trailer...he went out and scared him off.

Whittington Ctr. has been chasing them off by shooting at them with rubber bullets with no success.

Last time

we were there, this gal was putting out food for the deer. She should have put a sign on it because the bears kept eating it. Animals are smarter than some people.

If someone can get close enough and still be safe try spraying ammonia in the bears face. It turns vicious dogs into whimpering puppies instantly and they do not come back.

Bear Attack!!!

Last year, Todd Tyler left his shooting stool at the bench and a bear bit into it.
No doubt the bear was....................................well, I won't go there.
