Let's just hope they get this fire under control with few structures lost. The little town could use our prayers and some rain.

Could the fire in Raton cause the upcoming match this weekend to be cancelled? So far, at least 300 homes have been evacuated. This could cause a problem when it comes to motel rooms. I'm certain that emergencies take priority over reservations.

Damn.... I didn't know about the severity of this fire up in NE NM.............Sounds bad ..!

I won't make this up coming shoot Mike but I know many who are planning it..

Been a real tough year for disasters............. New one every week it seems........

So far I guess the match is still going to be held. Turns out that I was wrong about reservations. They do have priority, however there may or may not be gas for hot water. The gas for Raton may be stut down for 48-72 hours. I have learned that the problem was burned gaskets in a gas valve that cause a 15 foot flame blow torch effect. Reports are that a straight section of pipe may be welded in as early as between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. If this goes to plan, we should have hot water at our rooms by Friday or maybe sooner. I would recommend that you check with your own motel concerning their policies on reservations.

The match is on

I just spoke with Jack Snyder, and the match is still on, so just confirm any revervations you may have made. If anything changes, I'm certain Jack will let us know.
