Ranges in Florida

A special call to all the rimfire shooters in Florida.
My wife and I will be going down to Delray for the winter, for the first time.
What I’m going to need is some place to shoot.
Doing an internet search shows me all the gun shops with indoor shooting ranges.
What I’m hoping for is an outdoor facility, within thirty miles, that I can join.

Hi Bob

You are in luck. There is a very active club in Hollywood/Dania on Sterling called the Hollywood Rifle and Pistol Club. We have 10 concrete benches to shoot off of and we can shoot at 50 and 100 yards. There is also a 50 yard pistol range. There are 3 bench rest matches a month that are well attended. In addition, there is an active group of prone shooters. You can practice 5 days a week, weather permitting. Our bench rest group is run by John Austin and the prone group is run by Randy Schwartz.

When do you plan on going to Delray? I usually head down in mid November and stay for 6 months.

Hi Larry, I want to thank you for your reply.
I took the liberty of checking the location of your range and it is perfect.
The web-sight was also very informative and inviting.
I’m looking forward to visiting and becoming a member.
