Looks like I will be moving to the Pensacola area in a couple of months. Are there any good public or club rifle ranges in that area?

Woulldn't it

be more fun to go babe watching on the beautiful beaches? For real, I have a good friend there at Panhandle Performance in Panama City area. Next time I talk to him I will ask him about shooting ranges.

Tom, I think Rachel's Glen may be your closest range for registered matches. Don't recall seeing anything else in the neighborhood.

We're a tad over 2 hours from Pensacola. I've been pondering trying a score match or two but don't know how far people would travel just to shoot on a Saturday morning. Anybody got any input on this?

There's Pensacola Pistol and Rifle Range just a tad North of Cantonment, Fl. They have some great facilities there for 100 and 200 shooting. PM me and I'll send you a phone # for you to call.

Francis,

In these days of high fuel costs it makes more sense to shoot the two yardages and make it an all day affair. More bangs per gallon.

I couldn't agree more. I'll start asking if anybody is interested. I've tried to stir up local interest in the past but had no luck.

Mickey, if you have a state championship shoot you'll draw more shooters(double points) also if you want to run over to dublin on a club match weekend you'll see how smooth it can run, if you did a state match,2 days (100 on sat & 200 on sunday) i bet it would surprize you how many would showup to shoot
