ramshot magnum in a 300 win mag ??

any one use ramshot magnum in competition ?? 200-210 bullets ??

I may be wrong but I can't recall seeing anyone shooting a ball powder in a .300 case on an equipment list. I can't recall seeing a ball powder on any equip list for that matter. That's not to say it won't work in your rifle but Most guys shoot tried and true extruded powders such as Re22, 25, H4831SC, H1000, H4350, and maybe some Retumbo here and there. There may be a powder or two I have overlooked that are popular and effective for the .300 case but I think this would cover most.
 
The best powder in my experience is H4831, hands down. and use 210 primers. Good luck.

In my trg 42 i use, 80 GR H1000 190 gr berger and ether CCI 250M or 215 fed GMM. this is a HOT load in my rifle and has out standing accuracy.

i have all three powders...but had not seen comments on the magnum.......
will try the other two first...
don't stop now...i'm still listening....

danny who's bullets, what weight, what twist ?
what else should i know ??

I shoot 210 Bergers primarily. Always a 10 twist. I do play with other bullets, but I have had my best luck over the last ten years with the 210 VLDs.

And Charles, it is three times. But in 2008 I did shoot a 300 WSM in LG. Used H4350 in that.
