Rail

I dont know if this is proper or not, but here goes anyway. Does anyone know of a rail gun for sale? I may be interested in purchasing one now, or very soon. I have some more research to do on what rails to buy, and what ones not to buy. I have an action sitting in the safe not doing anything, so all i would really need is the rail, unless the deal involves an action. anyway if you know or hear of anything please keep me in mind! Thanks Lee

Well I am sure Lester can probably tell you anything you want to know. The action is just a Big Panda. The rail appears to me to be one of Clarence Hammonds the whole rig probably weighs 80 lbs.

I have looked at a couple different rails now, but i am really in no hurry to buy one. Im still saving my coins and looking for the best deal. I did however receive a couple PM's from a couple different fellas that knew of a rail that might be for sale. When i was cleaning my in-box i accidentally erased the Pm's. I cant for the life of me remember who sent me those messages so if it was (you) Please send me another PM and sorry for not replying. Thanks lee

I think i have deceided to hold off on the rail for now. I need to do a few things around the house this spring, and i am in need of a new pickup truck. I will start my search again probably around this time next year. Thats the way it goes sometimes. thanks fellas! Lee

Just my thoughts on the rail Lee. One thing I would consider is look around the area you shoot and see what is being used. If there plenty of Young's I would buy one as well. Reason being sharing of bases when at matches for bench rotations. If you have at least 5 of the same manufacturer it makes it that more pleasant. I do not have one at this time but I know if I were to buy one it would more than likely be a Young at this point in time. Although ALL rail guns have some sort of cool factor to them.

I actually would like one just to muck around at 1000 yards with a 6BR at the farm.

Man talk about burning through the components......

There is no question it would be fun. I also think it would be a great teaching tool as well. It would allow you to see when you missed a wind call. When the time comes for me to own such a thing i would also like for the top to have a v-block. that way i could shoot a bunch of different ppc barrel. Im not sure this would work but maybe you could tune your LV barrel on the rail if it had a v-block, but then again maybe not. the vibrations would most certainly be different. One would think anyway? The time will come. I seem to want everything and when i sleep on my ideas for a few nights the big pictures becomes a little more clear! LOL!! thanks Lee
