Quick change post for Harrison M300 lathe

Dokey,

They should* all work...KDK, Aloris, Dorian...as all of the lathes I've ever seen use a t-slot/t-nut affair to affix the tool post to the compound. You may have to modify the t-nut, or make a new one to fit. Just make sure that the tool post is of correct size for your lathe, i.e., 13" swing.

*But...I've never been up close to a Harrison, and as they are British (or were), who knows what they've got going on.

I looked at the Harrison pictured in the Precision Barrel Work website and can see that it has an Aloris tool post, and looks like a t-nut attachment.

If you get in a pickle, you could give Mr. Pieper a call and see how he sorted it all out.

After using one of these i figured out all other toolholders are obsolete. I use the real swiss version but ive seen this copy and its top shelf. They use em in cnc machines to be able to really repeat. You can find the originals on ebay sometimes.

Dusty,

Agreed. I had the Swiss version of this on my old lathe and it was the bee's knees. Extremely versatile. Best tool post/holder I've ever worked with.

Saw these the other day. If it's as good as their chucks, they'd be worth a look.
