AMMASHOOTA
Gary Gruber
90% of my work is tactical rifles. I generally lightly sandblast the action and barrel -- then cerakote.
I am building a traditional African DG rifle for an upcoming safari with my daughter, and decided I would blue the barrel to match the action. The problem was that I didn't have a barrel spinner and didn't want to spend $150 for a tool I was going to use once.
I was at Harbor Freight and saw some ball bearing furniture rollers, so I picked up a couple. I then got some hardwood dowel and 1X2, some threaded rod, and I was on my way for under $20.
Just polished the barrel (120, 400, 600) and it looks really good to me.
