If I understand it correctly, muzzle brakes are now allowed in 17# and Heavy by NBRSA and PA. IBS only allows brakes on 17# guns?
Tuners are allowed on everything by everybody?
No restrictions on weight or stock width for Heavy rifles by anybody?
Adjustable rear rests for Heavy allowed by everybody but not allowed for 17# by anybody?

any stock width is allowed in NBRSA

the rules do not prohibit wide stocks ...even in the Light (LG) class...some shooters are using forends 5" wide in LG!!!! and offsetting the action to help couteract torque...Roger

Hey Jay

Jay in NBRSA we can use a adjustable rear rest.Robert Hoppe used a Dierks this sunday and did very well with it.As the Expiper pointed out we don't have any stock restrictions either.Tom Price shoots a lightgun with a Manners Carbon Fiber Stock that is around 5-6 inches wide.It has a tapered front wing on it and tracks like its on rails.

As soon as we wind down I will send you my heavygun stock so we can make it really wide and much flatter.I was going to use a surfboard with rails set at 12 inches apart and a bolt on rear rudder approach but I have a better idea.

Last I heard, they were allowed in NBRSA. And as I remember, the wording isn't "adjustable" but "pedestal", which means a sandbag on any sort of platform, adjustable or not, doesn't conform to the rules.

Jay my bad the Dierks rear rest is not only adjustable but its also a pedestal as well and weighs about 17 pounds.Charles is probaly right that it needs to be a pedestal.
