Questions on ARA nats

It looks like Wade from Shilen and myself are gonna hit the ARA nationals with my 4OX clone (if the damn extractors work) and some Shilen barrels (obviously). I have a few questions as I have never shot ARA, for that fact much rimfire period and will need all the help and sympathy I can get.

1. Is there windflags there already or do we need our own. Is it run similar to the centerfire nats in this regard with rotations and flags.

2. How many people typically camp out there. We currently plan on it.

3. Is the beer and eats cheaper or more expensive in MO then in Texas as we plan on having fun, talking a lot with people etc more then trying to win. We are looking for all the excuses we can find for shooting lousy.

Hopefully I will have the test units ready also if the testers show up, you know who you are. Sorry about the delays. See ya in St. Louis

1 - There will probably be enough flags to get a "feel".

2 - Camping is good at the range.

3 - Does it really matter.....?? If it's a lot higher, pretend you were forced there divinely.

Mr. Stiller,
You'll have a lot of fun, especially if you camp at the range. There are a few that do, and they have cookouts and just let it all hang out. Don't worry about the shooting part....most of all of us worry about losing. If you cannot find a tester for your equipment, I would be glad to do it.

Wilbur,

does that mean each lane should have its own set of flags. How many relays are typical at this match??

There will be flags on each lane. There will be three relays and the guys you are sharing a bench with will gladly leave theirs up if you help them move them to the next lane when you rotate. Most shooters like shooting over their own flags because they are used to them and how the react but if you are not a regular at this game, it won't make a great deal of difference to you. I'd be proud to share with you if you would like. Just put me down on your entry form as someone you are sharing equipment with. (that will give me a real good look at that action)

Jerry:
Welcome to ARA. Be sure you bring along cart large enough o carry all of your equipment for when you rotate benches. That journey from bench 60 to bench 7 is a killer if you have to hand carry everything.

Hey Fred would you rather have it on the 20 bench range?????? way rotate? you can stay at the same bench, Fred for you they are going to have at least 120 golf carts to aid in the moving. You have been coming for 10-15 years and ALWAYS B**** about something, way in hell don't have it at your range. Jerry:eek::eek::D:D

Mr. Stiller,
You will have a great time if you come. It is fun and a great number of fine folks will be there. It will drive your business to the black to show up. So many folks have been looking forward to your Stiller 40X clone that they will busting down your camper door to talk to you. In fact, if you are truly intending on coming, I'd bet that the number of competitors will be up just so they can see one and talk to you about getting one. In fact, if SCOTTY HERBERT is going to boil crabs, I'd bet that you are invited!:D:D:D:D

Well I wouldnt

bet my life on it, but Wade and I plan on being there unless something big changes before then. Both of us are looking forward to the weekend away from the shops and same old faces and the opportunities to meet some new folks. I am not a crab fan, but will throw some sausage in the pot if Scotty will let me.
