In regards to the practice of spinning live rounds to select concentric ammunition, does the resulting groove in the bullet’s lubrication due to the dial indicator’s contact point degrade the bullet’s accuracy?
No, not in the least, if you keep the small ball on the indicator wiped off occaisionally. It leaves a small trace on the ogive just above the drive band.
