Just wondering what comes next. Do we keep shooting and turning in scores to Steve? What's the deal with lodging, how much is it going to cost to shoot at the Worlds? Do we have Team USA shirts? I hear it's customary to trade them for other countries Team shirts.

Looking forward to the Worlds!!!
Todd

Hi Todd i can answer a couple of your questions, sort of anyway...

Each match will be around $30 approximately, yes shirt trading is common, keep practising and i look forward to meeting you and others at the championships.

$30.00

Hi is that $10.00 a target and $30.00 a match or $30.00 a target . Can we camp at range ? Looking forward to meeting every one . Wood like to talk to members of the teams I am on . Rick RVTX1800@aol.com

Hi RIng, Approx $10 a target max @ 3 targets per match = $30 a match approx, i believe camping will be allowed but you have to check that with Craig Young the match Director. Most International Teams as i understand it will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Summerville.

I believe that Frank Terril was offering some printed items on the usairriflebenchrest.com. I have the ability to produce some shirts and have worked up a US Team Logo. Some of the Field Target shooters are familiar with some laser engraved wood pellet boxes. I will work on a couple of different desingns. If frank has already gone to the expense of purchase of shirts I would not want to mess in his sandpile. I think his are embroidery and mine are full color heat press probably less cost.

I hope someone will open a thread about how do we keep benchrest shooting moving forward. I see a mix of the World Federation Target, USBR, BR50 and I think some have tried the IFP target. We have a great opportunity to keep some sort of a postal competition going.

Team

Hi I ordered a shirt and hat from Frank a few days ago . Bob, Tim, David, and Frank( all of us on all teams and alternates ) I think it wood be nice if we all had the same . I think we well be stronger if we are a team and work together . I do not know what we can do , but I wood like to talk to my team mates . RVTX1800@aol.com Thank You Rick

Thanks for the replies. I spoke with Steve yesterday and he will be requesting shirt sizes from us this week. He also confirmed the $30 per match. Rick, we'll have to check with Craig Young about the camping.
Take Care,
Todd

Bob.Z-right on now your talking ! it's about time that we had a postal match useing a target that we are all use to,and that's American...and shot in ft and not in meters...i'm thinking back some when L.Brown started BR50 and it ended up being shot all over the world !! if you shot good it was a big deal -it ment something..just a thought for a old coot.H.B.

One thing about the Palmetto range is that there is a lot of room to spread out and camp.
The bad thing is that even thou there is power available around the range the amperage is such that it at best it will handle lighting only for a match of this size so forget the microwaves and the air conditioners! They have only one shower available so if there is a lot of campers they might have to set up their own lottery system?
Even for their local matches I will drive up the day before and camp at the range. It usually cools down in the evening so sleeping has never been a problem. (77F or less)
In the past you had to drive 3 miles down a dusty dirt road that would wash out in the rain.
This last weekend when I went for a match it was a pleasant surprise to find it is now a wide paved road with bike lanes. ( I drove 2 miles past the range before realizing my mistake)
I do not have a clue on what the "Match Director" has planned but if you have any questions on the Range fell free to call or email me at any time.
