I am having problems when I go to print a page of posts. In a 3 page post the first page prints normally but when it gets to page two and three, it prints both on the same page. I thought it might be my printer but I can print off of other sites and there is no problem. I went home today at lunch and tried to print page 23 on the bullet making thread and it did the same thing. I anybody else experiencing this same/or similar problem?

Thanks,
Dan Batko

The easist way I have found is to Highlite, copy, and then go to START, All Programs,Accessories, and then to Notepad, (Windows PC), then to Edit and Paste within Notepad and Save As to a file created for BR Related or whatever it you wish to Save As........... Jan

Jan,
Thanks. I will give that a try this weekend when I have a few minutes.

Have you tried a different browser ?

Dick

Dick,
I have been using my windows internet explorer. I have not changed anything. I always just high light what I want to print and hit the print button. I never had a problem copying anything from this site until the new format showed up recently. I thought it was just a bug they were working on and it would be straightened out, but I don't know. I doesn't work like it used to.

This method works with any browser and is immune to site format changes . . .

Here is a very handy trick that no one has mentioned. There is a button on your keyboard "PrtScn", it's up on that top row of buttons that you never use. When you push that button, whatever is on your screen at that moment is copied to memory. Once you have the screen copy made, it's an image file, you can display it or print it or whatever you want to do on any program on your computer that will display images. You can even paste it into wordpad.

The downside of using PrtScr is you'll also be printing out the color borders at each side of the forum column which will use up your toner very quickly -

Any program I'd be printing from has a crop function. Mostly it's a very handy tool to know, all sorts of uses.

I use Mozilla Firefox. After I get to the page of the thread that I want to print, I go to the top of my browser and click on File, and then print preview. The preview shows the entire page of the thread spread out over several pages of printed output. From there, all I have to do is click on print on the same page that shows the preview. Have you tried to do it this way?

Further, from Firefox "print preview," you can change the scaling. At some scale, it will all fit on a page. Type might be pretty small.

If you really want it, cut and paste the text into a text editor, like MS Word, or the free Open Office. Reformat as need. Doesn't take long, either. It's like cutting and pasting to Notepad, but with more control.
