I use CCI bench rest primers when I reload for my long distance rifle and always have , I have always had excellent results with them and never found a reason to try any other brand.

My question is, what other people are using for their high accuracy loads and if they have run any comparison tests and what kind of results they found that made them select one brand over the other.

maybe you should explain exactly what you shoot and at wha distance, else our info will be of little use.

I am shooting a Rem .308 SPS, 26", 1:12 shooting sportsman long range 200yards out to 900 yards 155gr sierra Palma 44.9 gr of RL 15 and I get consistent sub 0.5" 5 shot groups.

I have no problem with the gun or the loads just trying to a feel for what other people use and what results or differences they get since I have never tried anything but CCI, primers

i would go to the f class forum and ask there. you are mimicing palma shooting and they hang out there.

i would guess you are limiting yourself with the 155..the mil uses rl15 with 175 sierras(m118lr)..and in a bolt gun you can do well in velocity...and they did shoot 168s in the m852 load with 4895.

BK I believe you will find the information on the below link to be exactly what you are looking for. I have read and re-read it several times and I found this primer study to be very interesting. Also when you get to the bottom of the page there is a link that will take you to the small rifle primer study.

I hope this information is helpful.
