Precision Rifle actions

Does anyone know anything about Precision Rifle actions, I understand Brad Rosenthal (sp) made them and there was only 40 made.

Does anyone have anymore information about them?

Thanks
Ian

Ian, I have owned and shot two of them. They are XP-100 sized round, stainless actions with two lugs. They were designed and made by Brad Rosenthal and Bob Dodd in Nebraska. They were well made and the rifles made on them were accurate. My only criticism was with the short crooked bolt handle (probably bought from Ruger). Bob Dodd left Nebraska and moved to Arizona and started making an action(RFD) very similar to the "Rosenthal" made in Nebraska. He did change the bolt handle and a couple of other things. Allen Arnette shot his way into the HOF with a Rosenthal action and still shoots it today. Good shooting....James

Ron Hoehn has serial number 13 for sale in his shop. It is PPC in a TM stock. If you are interested I can give you his info and pics.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe, number 13 was one of the ones that I once owned. I would love to see a picture of it as it looks today. Thanks, James Mock

Thanks Joe and James, just the information I needed.

The one I saw at Ron's was the reason I asked the question, James I'll send you a photo when I get back to St. Louis, if you aren't going to be at the NBRSA Nationals.

What where the other modifications Bob Dodd made when he started making the RFD action?

Ian
