precision matthews pm 30 mill has arrived!

My precision matthews pm 30 mill has arrived . Very nice and sturdy mill .A lot of cleaning before you can use it but A very nice mill. I will update when my pm 12 x 36 lathe comes in . Should be 3 more weeks...!!

Congrats! U'r going to have a lot of fun with that. In the picture it looks big enough to carve on stocks for bedding, drilling on projects like barrel vises and other tooling, milling sight dovetails, etc.

That will do about 75% of what I ever do but even yesterday, I was constantly moving the knee up and down to avoid losing my set up as I changed tooling. I guess the bigger machines just have a little more versatility. That really does look handy though.

This one has the head on dovetail ways so he should be able to move the head up and down with out losing alignment as a slightly limited motion equivelant to moving the knee on your mill.
