Precision Ground recoil lugs for Savage Target actions

I am having Dave Kiff make me a couple dozen stainless steel precision ground (.250" thick) recoil lugs for the Savage target actions and Savage standard actions with the larger tennon diameter (1.125"). These can be used with or without the barrel nuts. They will have tapered sides like his other precision ground lugs. If you could use such a lug give Dave Kiff a call at PT&G and put in an order.

As with all supplied components, it is always best to check. Things slip by. I just reset a book -- two days extra work -- because I made a silly mistake.

For reference, I got a PTG recoil lug with an action. The recoil lug thickness varies, randomly, from .1865" to .1872". To me, that's a bit much.

BTW, the action was one of the actions Jerry Stiller makes for rebranding with a gunsmith's name -- Python quality; first rate.

I am sure that one must have slipped throught the cracks. PT&G is pretty good with their quality control. Dave has made good on any quality control issues I have had. I hope you sent it back to Jerry so he could address it with Dave personally. I have bought several hundred with no issues.
