I'm using mine for open range shooting, so field of view isn't particularly an issue & likewise any perceived increase in cross hair weight, which I think is minor. I must admit that the 35% increase I'm carrying on my NF BR does shorten the eye relief to challenging levels when I'm using a big kicking F class gun, but it's fine when I have the 6BR barrel screwed in. I can only get 30% boost with the Leupolds since I had cataract surgery as it changed how much I needed to dial in to focus the cross hairs.
I haven't used the web site lately, but as I recall, there's pretty specific guidance about how much boost your scope can take (based on where you set your cross hair focus now) & which lens style to use for target or hunting purposes.
