I have used a charge master for about 2 years now. It works great at home for working up loads. I tried carrying it to a few matches and found out it was way to much trouble. First problem is a power supply having to carry a drop cord or trying to rig up some battery pack. Second problem is wind it takes for ever to settle on a charge if any wind is blowing at all it does have shield but its just alot of trouble to me. Third problem is at our club the loading area is coverd. And when everybody starts shooting the vibration of the shots causes the powder dump on the side to open up. When you return to your table to find a 1/2 pound of powder laying on the ground it makes for a very bad day. You half to put tape over it to stop it. Just alot of trouble for matches I bought a Harrels powder dump and have been very pleased with it. Its much faster no power needed and wind dont matter.

I have used the RCBS powder dispenser for 2 years without any problems either at the range or at home. It is accurate, reliable and easy to use. I protect it from the wind and have never had it open and dump powder out. At my club matches you will find several people using them. I have a Harrell's and find using the RCBS unit is more consistent but I have not had as much practice with the Harrell's unit as some. I am very happy with the RCBS unit.

I have the RCBS also. Great unit. No problems seems
I used weather stripping on the inside of the clear plastic to seal from wind gusts as it gets pretty windy here at our range. Other than that I am happy.
You can also rig it to run off of D cell batteries though I have not do it yet.

Watch the video. Shop around for price, but it's going to be hard to beat this seller. Buy one additional item exceeding $10.04 and you can take advantage of the $50 rebate too.

More top shooters are moving to this style of dispensing powder. I've used one for years. On the rare occasion when it may over exceed a weight, just dump it in the hopper and keep going.

Buy the Chargemaster

Old saying, "Buy the best, forget about the rest"
I would not want to reload if mine quit , that is why I have a spare.

As far as Natchezss goes thats a pretty good price. However I will note that the $587 is a joke. Msrp on the RCBS site is $484.
I gave $300+ for mine a couple of years ago.

I'll go along with what the others have said. For stick powders the Chargemaster is hard to beat IMHO. I can seat a bullet in the previously charged case while the next charge is being weighed. Lots of complaints about the accuracy of the scale, but it'll do ±0.1 gr all day long. Mine seems to wander a bit in a long series of loads, so I look at what it reads when I remove the scale pan to dump a charge. If it's off 0.1 gr either way I recalibrate, otherwise your weights will be off. I'm sure that the others are no more accurate for the money.

Make sure you close the powder drain after emptying the reservoir or you'll have powder all over the next time you add powder to the reservoir too! I'm not saying how I know this, but you might be able to guess.

Why not you use a powder scale because it also have a container on it surface. And you can take all your powder measurement with that scale . Or use RCBS 5-0-5 because you can get powder measurement with that also.

I've used the RCBS 1500 Combo for over 6 years with nary a problem.

Here's a great deal: http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=rc98923

At $289.99 it's an excellent buy that gets even better.

Spend another $10.01 and receive the $50 rebate. Net to the $289.99 is $250 [$50-$10.01=$39.99, $289.99-$39.99= $250].
