Hey guys or gals that would attend.

With the busy month of May, would you rather us hold it May 17th or June 21st.

If I am not mistaken, Montana is shooting 1000yrd the week before and the 3 day weekend would be the following week. For me it would look like the 21st of June would be the best.

I am looking for your opinions on this one.

Thanks,

Cody

It looks like MT is shooting the w/e before both of the dates that you have proposed, 10-11 May and 14-15 June. I'll give a heads up to the others that I know that are interested in attending your next match and they can offer opinions if they wish.
I would prefer 21 June but no big deal either way.

June 21st is better for me but I'll probably make it either way. I've got a real gun ready now, weighted to 16lb 15oz :D with 60X scopage and a brandy-new 6X47 Shilen.............HOORAUGGHHHhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Now If I can just find time to tune it!

Cya there!

Kevin Watson and I are planning on shooting your June match.

myself and a freind planned on last month but was unable to make it, I plan to try again, please keep us posted on what you decide. thanks Ron Tilley

June It is

Thanks for the response.

I will talk with Peter, and make the switch to June 21st. We will try and get it up and running a little quicker this time.

I might try and put on a preregistration form on here so I can get some of you already put in the computer system to cut out some time in the morning set up and drawing for your relays.

Just to let you guys know, we do have a campground on site if you are taveling and would like to camp.

Also, I think we have a title sponser for the next match!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions..

Where?

Hello all, and Mcmunn.
I have been out of the bench shooting scene for a while but I might be able to make this shoot. If I only knew where it is. Can you help me out?
Thanks,
Pete

Hey, Pete, good to hear from you,

The matches are held at Tri County range, located near Portland. If you are still in West Linn, it is in your neighborhood.

http://www.tcgc.org/index.htm is the URL for the range.

It is a very nice range, friendly people, well organized and just about all you could ask for, in my opinion.
The 600 yard match in June should have a pretty good attendance. Give some thought to being there. Actually, consider joining the club and getting active, I would if it were close to my home.
I sold out in Sagle and moved to Moscow, ID, about 18 months ago.
Send an email to me if you want wish. 1000yds at gmail dot com

Pepper,

Where are you in West Linn?
I'm in Oregon City just around the block from Cody and can't believe you don't know about Tri-County! This is a GREAT range that you will enjoy immensely. My buddy Jay likes it too as he said.

Van Beek?

Hello Mark,
Long time no see. I live on View Drive.
I have not shot competitivly scince I shot Bobs gun. It has been a very long time. I do know about Tri county. I just have been out of touch for a while. Still don't have a good pee shooter though. But wanted to come out and play anyway. PM me and we can swap contact info.

The one and only

Yep! This is Pete Cotting.
Sent you an email Mark and Jay.
It has been way to long and my finger is itching to feel the trigger.

Changes!

Hello everyone!
Peter and I talked last night about how to make the match go smoother this time around.

Our first concern was the sight in Period.
What our plan is--a 30 min sight in period before the match. Sign in--weigh the gun and take directly to the bench and get it on paper if you need. We are hoping to have at least two benches available. So when the match starts the 6 min sight in will be strictly enforced.

This will happen when we can shoot by club rules..8:00am. Sign in will start 6:45. And sign in will be at the 600 yard firing line so we can weigh the guns right there. We cannot handle firearms in our club house.

The thing we lack is volunteers with Benchrest experience. Last time we had Eric show up and help..He was the reason we had results in a timely fashion. I big thank you goes out to him.

What I was planning on but wanted to run it by you all first was the following: Have a Official NBRSA target scorer shoot on the first rely so they could start scoring the targets In the Pits after there rely. and then during the second rely we could score targets as each target is shot. Having results shortly after the last rely!

We hope with a couple little changes we can make this run smoother and start earlier. If you can think of anything please fell free to list it here. I am also going to try and get a electronic version on the registration form on here so I can get a jump start on entering you in the computer and have a good idea of how many shooters will be there.

And also I am re working my spreadsheet for compiling scores to work better and faster--If someone out there has something that will compile all the scores and groups and lists the winners at the end Please contact me if your willing to share!

Thanks and we look forward to providing you guys another place to shoot in the Northwest for 600 yard benchrest!

The wife and I are planning on making the shoot. I'll get directions before time.

I have excel spread sheets for agg compiling and sorting, fairly simple to operate. Maybe I can do something for you.
Do you have multiple measuring calipers? Might help the scoring go faster.

Is there an option to test fire/adjust on Friday?

Cheers,
Scott

Friday

Scott,
We look forward to seeing you at the match.

As for friday sightin. We have a hard time tying up the 600 yard range on friday due to we have to shut down the 200/300 yrd range. This range gets used quit often and the general membership would be a little upset.

What I can do is be avaliable and allow people on the 300 yard range to sight in or just shoot at the range the day before. It is pretty easy to get a 600 yard zero when your sight in at 300. Most rifels will be 9-12 MOA come up form a 300 yard zero.

Scott.. I would like to talk to you abou the spreadsheet. Send me a PM with contact info and a good time to call.

alinaw..When will you be holding matches in WA. I do not want to over lap. We just resubmitted or schedule we are planning on running.

I'll go ahead and set my come up at 100, should be OK for 600.

PM inbound.

Cody and Peter,

I will be shooting this match right-handed so you don't have to set me up with a left-handed bench.

Please confirm here or I will call you....

thanks
