This poll is just out of curiosity and not designed to discuss the advantages, disadvantages, BC or anything else related to tipping. Either you do or don't.

If you do tip, you can state the equipment you use.

currently shooting amax...so no tipping...cheap bullets to learn with

There was a time when I trimmed meplats, then stopped. Now, I'm closing points & again trimming meplats. I'll probably base any decision on whether to continue or not on a year's worth of shooting.

The thing about these polls is they show a "slice of time" -- what we're doing right now. Nothing wrong with that, as long as everyone's aware of it.

Yes tipping does work, been doing it for a couple years, and once in a while the others notice I'm there. 308 Baer & 300 WSM

I found that tipping must follow uniforming the meplat.

Thats how I do it...I trim using the Hoover meplat trimmer and then tip with a Hoover tipping die. Works awesome. I shot non-tipped 107 SMK and tipped SMK's during a sighter period in a match a couple weeks ago. I did notice about 8-10" of vertical with the tipped versus non-tipped.
