For those wanting to attend the Airgun portion of the WRABF World Championships this summer in South Carolina, this message is for you.

Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game Club of Lyndeborough, NH has scheduled the first of its six 3-Target qualifying matches for this Saturday, January 8th at 10:00 A.M. with the Clubs gate opening by 9:00. For those wanting to qualify: prior to the match all guns will be weighed and shot across a chronograph in order to verify they fall within the limits for the Class being tried for.

Please bring you own lunch or light snack as there will be no food available at the Club, but as always soft drinks and water will be available in the Clubhouse.

There may be a small problem though. As of right now the weather guru’s are calling for a chance of snow moving through the area by weeks end, but are not in agreement on exactly when or how much. One scenario shows a chance for a fast moving Clipper coming through late Thursday into Friday, which will have little to no affect on us continuing, but a second scenario shows snow coming in on Friday and lasting into Saturday which, depending on the amount, could interfere with our being able to access the range, and thus forcing a cancellation. Either way they are saying the temperature will be no higher than in the 20’s, so dress warm, wear boots, and hope for little to no wind. What a difference a week can make as today was sunny, near 60° and had only a very light breeze. Who knew?

As the time draws closer I will continue to update you here on the latest, so please stay tune just in case. If things do change for the worse I will be emailing those who have already shown an interest in attending no later than Friday, and will post the same here.

If you have any questions or need directions please feel free to contact me by emailing: dashattuck@gmail.com, or by calling: 978-877-8482 and I will get back to you as soon as I am able to.

See you on Saturday.

IT'S A GO!!!! As of right now we're only suppose to be getting 1 to 3 inches of snow to the south of us, and 2 to 6 inches around the range, so it's no big deal.

I'll be there by 9, so come on in and we'll try to get you all weighed up and chrony'd (ie: Classified) before 10. But, if for any reason we're running a little late the match will just have to wait until we're ready.

And by the way, the best news is: as of right now and hot off of weather underground the winds are predicted to be only 0 to 1 MPH. I can't remember ever seeing a 0 to 1 MPH wind at Pinnacle, so we'll just have to wait and see how true that turns out to be. Combine that with the temps expected to be in the mid-20's under a 100% cloud cover, and this could turn out to be a much better day than expected, that is other than for having to shoot between the occasional snowflake or two.

See you tomorrow,

Dave

David,
Looking forward to the shoot Sat. I will see you in the AM.

Now, those of us who have had the privilage of shooting at Pinnacle know that the winds are calm 0-1 MPH when you arrive, set up your gear, settle into the bench and mentally prepare to shoot a perfect score.

THEN - the winds pick up to 10-30 mph and switch like crazy!!!

You guys have a good time Saturday. Looking forward to some great scores.

Michael
