All I can say is: the conditions ate most of us alive - that is other than for Dan, and even he had his moments.
With the forecast having called for rain in the A.M., then clearing in the P.M. with winds picking up throughout the day, we were all a bit surprised to have the rains stop just before we got to the range. But (and isn't there always a "BUT"), for what ended up appearing to be a beautiful, sunny day near the end of April, yesterday sure did end up being so wicked cold (didn't reach 40° until after noon) and windy (when factoring in the 15 to 30MPH wind it felt one Hell of a lot colder) it was somewhat miserable all the way around. It didn't take long before the Arthritis in my hands flared up to the point of limiting me to only shoot the first set of 3 targets before the pain reached a point of not making it fun any longer, which has carried over into today. So I'll let the others fill in the rest of the blanks. Anyway....

Our next match @ Pinnacle won't be until late September, so things could be much of the same thing all over again. And then will come our October match when the foliage may be the best part of the day. That is, unless the wind has blown all the leaves off the trees.
Until then,
Dave Shattuck
