Just a reminder that Pinetucky in Augusta, GA will host their 1st IBS VFS 100 yard/ 100 meter match of the year this Saturday, April 19. We'll have the gates open between 7:30-8 AM, shooting will start at 9 AM. Fees will be $50.00 for both yardages including lunch. Single yardage will be $25 + $5 for lunch if desired. There will be a yardage rotation. Y'all come.

Joe, sorry I'll be working 2 boat shows this weekend, West Palm Beach Friday & Jacksonville Fla Saturday & Sunday, I hope to make the next shoot, I like being able to shoot VFS in one relay and Factory Varmit in the second relay.

Pinetucky

Really looking forward to the Pinetucky match. Joe ALWAYS has a well run match as well as EXCELLENT LUNCHES. Seems like I always shoot better after a good meal!

David, sorry you can't make it. I had planned to bring my Savage and "contest" your "Super Savage" in the factory class, but the next match is not that far away. Your absence will bump me up at least one spot in the finishing order! Donnie Nash, if you are out there, bring your Savage and we will get something going!!!

DD, I missed the Dublin match because of a death in the family. Actually, I was in Dublin, but unable to attend the match. Could you provide me with some details about the fun doings at the range??

Pinetucky

Joe,

Julia and I had a crazy idea and are thinking about coming down next month. Is is possible to bring the camper and spend the night right on the property?

Savage

David, sorry you can't make it. I had planned to bring my Savage and "contest" your "Super Savage" in the factory class...
Are you speaking about the "Humble Savage"?

"Humble Savage"

Adrian,

Just being brutally honest, it has "humbled me" several times.

adrin, wlouie is talking about the Model 12RPLV factory gun( the one I finished second in reedsville with) it's out the box factory for our dublin and pinetucky club match's, hell there harder to win than a IBS match!!!! now the humble gun stated with the same action BUT,,,,,,, it's dressed a little different, I got one of ole freds trick triggers in it and fred did a little action tuning and I need a little range time to get me and the load back in tune, it won't be long I'll be ready with that "Salvage Model 12PLRV/Humble/Zane/SS Supply Special"

wlouie, wooten won VFS frank was second or third, Jordan and his 6ppc sako won, donnie dropped 2 points on last target to give it to jordan, I finished 3rd, I was so far behind I was lost as last years easter egg

Now I am REALLY looking forward to the next "Savage match". Me and my old, no longer in production, double clutching warped stock, wore out barrel,bi-vision double-focal scope bvss-s just might provide a challege to your old mrnoplv.

In the words of that great ole immortal bard: 'Lay on McDuff! and damn be he who first cries,"Hold!, enough"!'

ps: thanks for the Dublin update. Sounds like I missed another good one.

David, thanks for the powder. I think I will be going by the exit 104 place pretty soon. If you need something from there, just let me know.

Donnie

At the risk of giving away one of "yo secrets", which bullets are you shooting now?

wlouie, no secret, 52gr fowlers, coated with tungsen disulfide, BUT,,,,, my old salvage likes 52 burgers OR 53 sierra Matchkings just as good, I tryed Fowlers 52's and they worked and he had them a thousand @ the time so I only had to coat one batch for a lot of shootin, now my tikka t-3 likes the sierra 1400 matchkings, fowlers or 60gr v-max and FYI its 25.0 to 25.3 grs of Vitv N133 rem 7 1/2 OR 205 GM fed primers but the salvage also shot H335 good too
