Piedmont Gun Club hosted IR50/50 North Carolina State shoot on hot Sunday morning and it was a humbling day to witness all the great shooters taking aim for the honors. I took the hint and laid my rifle down to take a picture of the top winners. I hope I can get the picture attached to this post better than I shot today. The match results will be added soon.

Thanks

Tommy and Jeff, and whoever else helped,
You guys did a great job of putting on the match. Excellent job of scoring! Thanks for the cold drinks, and food, and the hospitality. You guys have a great range and facility there, and I look forward to shooting with you again. Hope you fellows will come over to Blue Ridge for our match in October.

Congrats to all the winners, lot of great scores were shot by a lot of folks.
Again, excellent job of putting on and running the match, enjoyed it!

Yeah Fred, the old frazzled worn out guy in the center with the dark blue shirt and dark glasses is me, or whatever's left of me:) ! Hope to shoot with you again somewhere soon!
Kent

Jim,
That was my first time at Piedmont as well, and that's a very good range and excellent facility. Congrats on some great shooting on your part as well! That was a great sporter target you shot! Wish I'd shot it! Always enjoy shooting with you. See you next weekend!

Gary, If I could shoot 250-18X cards off sandbags like you do it'd make equipment less expensive!

To the folks who weren't there Gary shot off a front sandbag and a rear bag and shot a 250-18X target at Bullseye yesterday, and shot another 250-18X today at Piedmont! I'm beginning to think I've been going at it the wrong way! Great shooting Gary! You have to be the best sandbagger of all time!HA!

Damn Kent, did you leave any wood for the rest of the guys? :D

Way to go my friend.

You deserve all the wood you get. :D

Fine shooting.

I hope you don't mind me making that photo visible here without clicking an attachment link.

Brad,
I just got lucky. Everybody there was capable of winning, and the wood divided up pretty well among all. As Gordon said, lots of tough shooters and a very deep field for sure. Also an great group to shoot with any time!

Thanks to all...

who came out and shot with us at Piedmont. I hope all of you had a good time. Congradulations to all the winners, especially to Kent for taking us all to school. Congradulation to Larry Willis on his first 250 in IR 50/50.

Now that all the congradulations are out of the way, I must admit to being the dumnest guy in this game. I build rifles that cost upward of three grand ea., spend $850.00 for a front rest, $150.00 for a rear bag, and let some dude with $16.00 sand bags, and a worn out rifle that I sold him kick my butt.
Now to top it all off, I went to Larry's today to get me a set of those magic sand bags just to find out Larry had a run on them today and was sold out. Larry said he should have some in about six months, but the price will be around $600.00 per set. I just can't win for loosing.
