Not a Benchrest rifle but I picked me up a NIB Remington Model 5 today just for goofing around with. I've been wanting to get me a 22LR for just general shooting out at the place and was doing some research and saw some good reviews concerning the Model 5 by Remington. Went by the Academy Sports by the house and asked about it, they didn't have any, but they got online and found one in a store across town. I went over and inspected it and was quite surprised of how solid and good looking it was for the price, $179.95 (MSRP $349.00) The rifle is built in Serbia by Zastava, and by what I've read Remington puts it in the Laminated Stock here in the US. Even already found instructions online from another site how to adjust the trigger to get rid of the heavy pull. Again just something to goof around with until spring gets here and the season starts up down here in South Texas. Totally another subject but as mild as it is down here sure wished we did some benchrest in the winter. Oh well have to live with what you got.
