Phoenix Sporter and Unlimited match 11-12/13

It has come to my attention that there are shooters that didn't attend the match are interested in the results. I send emails out to those that I think are interested but sometimes an address doesn't pop up and I miss someone. The short version here, long version of the match will appear in the mag. Lester Bruno pretty much dominated the match, especially sporter 100. He won 3 of the matches and was under the world record for the agg after 4 targets. However, one shot on target 5 burst that bubble. He did shoot a really nice .1606 aggregate. Bud Mundy finished second with a .2258. In the afternoon they shot the UNL5 100. Chuck Miller won that agg with a .1868. James Coulter nearly caught Chuck shooting a .102 in match 5 for small group of the aggregate. Since I didn't shoot the match (Covid) I asked several shooters about the conditions: the response was predictable. If they shot decent, the conditions were ok and at times readable; if not the conditions were crappy. Sundy the forecast was for light winds in the am and breezy/windy for the afternoon. Lester won the UNL 200 with a nice .1643 agg. beating Duke Rovarino's .1776 by shooting a .252 on the last target. A relative new shooter Jerod Hahn finished 3rd shooting a .1805. The Sporter 200 was shot in mostly Breezy/windy conditions; coming out on top was Paul Parosky jr. shooting a .3201, just ahead of James Coulter's .3217. This was Pauls first win in his short Benchrest carrier. I think Paul is most proud that he won shooting his own bullets. Interesting is the first 4 places in this agg all shot .32++ aggregates.

Winning the 2 gun was Lester Bruno with a .2116 In second, Chuck Miller with a .2572
3 Gun Lester Bruno .2811, second Dan Sutton .3226
4 Gun Lester Bruno .2556, second Paul Parosky Jr. .3036

The next match at Ben Avery - Phoenix is December 10th and 11th Unlimited - 5 all weekend. The range is available for practice thursday and friday.
