Wow what an incredible match!!! We were expecting a low turnout. With the anticipation that conditions were going to be miserable, we braced for record temperatures, but instead we got record scores! The match started out in the 80’s, by the second match and the third match, temps were only in the 90s. But once scores were tabulated, it crested to well in the 110 area.
Everything was on time, match started one minute early. Scoring between matches took about 7 minutes.
Conditions were about the best we ever had, and the scores certainly reflect that.
Congrats to Mark Buchanan for shooting two 250s with a total of 749 35X.
Irwin Segerman shot a 748 with an incredible 47 X count and a 250 Target. The third person to score a 250 card was Linda Koch. She is one our new shooters that has been shooting with us for a few months, and presents today with an astounding accomplishment of a 747 28X. Absolutely outstanding!
Of note, there were ten 249 targets shot, and This is unheard of at our range. Please check out the website for full results, and to see how everyone ranked. An interesting note, the top 6 shooters of the day shot in HV class.

We cancelled the 100m match due to the expected heat of 117 today.
Thanks to Andy for help setting up and Cole's help with scoring.
I bet there were quite a few proud smiles on peoples faces today for the drive home...

Okay Garrett, you really had me going there for a minute. Here you told of how extreme the temperatures were, and how the last match of the day was cancelled due to the prediction of it going even higher, but when I opened your results page the pictures at the top showed everyone except a few wearing sweatshirts, hats and multiple layers of clothing. It wasn't until I got to the bottom and saw there were no pictures posted for this day when I realized you guys probably weren't nuts, and that probably wasn't the attire of the day.

Great shooting by all, and I too am sure there were a lot of grinners on their way back home.

Hahahaha. Yes, we may be a bit nuts, but that is hilarious. When we carry the template over, the pics need replacing, but i guess when there are none... that is so funny. Here, check back soon... I'll find some more "appropriate" pics ;)

Garrett,

Very nice shooting by you folks. Question I have regarding the actual distance you folks are shooting. I just noticed some pics on line show benches at the front of concrete pad and some pics show benches around 4 feet from front of slab. I know public ranges I have been to do not actually have target frames setup for 25m.

Thanks and again great shooting.

Regards,
Joe

They shoot 25 yards....not 25 meters. There is one springer guy there ( Mark Bouchard) that brings his own portable target stand so he can put it out beyond the target line at the regulation 25m. I was there in January, and was told it was a safety issue to move the benches back to make 25m. It's not clear to me why they report the matches as 25m.

Good shooting, nonetheless.
