Pellets for Benchrest

I was wondering what most guys use for benchrest? At the matches I have been to it seems most are using JSB or AA, some Crosman. Are H&N pellets worth trying? I have a .22 airgun on the way soon, trying to decide on what pellets to round up for testing. Not sure what the fpe will be yet. Depends on how heavy it will be when I get it all put together but it will either be HV or Open class for sure.

If your shooting at Holbrook's indoor shoot this Sat.? I will give you what I have in .22's Crosman,H&N,JSB, Beaman,etc.

Glad to hear your new gun is almost ready....kinda sick of you kicking my ass with my own gun:eek: I would stick with Gamo hollow points if I were you. Lube 'em with axle grease, too. That way the rest of us will have a chance;). Seriously, if you're going to be at Holbrook I'll give you some of what I'm using for both HV and Open (both AA), already lubed for you to try.

Thanks guys! Paul, Todd, that is very kind of you. Looking forward to trying out the Dawson! I know the metal work and stock are both in the works now so hopefully it won't be too long! I will be shooting the Marauder this weekend. Looking forward to seeing you then!

Looks like your kreiger barrel Dawson likes JSB 13.4 and 14.3. See Dan's post above with group pictures.

Listen to Paul ... and Dan. The gun definitely seems to like both weights of JSB's, no doubt about it.
