Folks, I went to the Paul Wagner benchrest school yesterday at Piedmont. If this young man keeps it up he will be in contention for a win at the nationals. Paul is not new at this game, but continues to improve his game. All of the work he & Rodney put into their shooting shows. Congratulations, Paul on a great job yesterday (he won 5-1st place & 1-3rd place trophies).

Now it's time to congratulate the always tough Sam Hall. He set another record yesterday in heavy gun score, a 50 w/.913" group. Great shooting guys... I'm looking very forward to spending the week with all of my friends at the nationals.

PS - can you imagine what you could learn staying in the same house with Larry Isenhour, Sam Hall, Terry Brady, Brian Moore & the Wagners (Rodney & Paul)???

See you there,
Mike Davis

Yesterday was a great lesson in performing under pressure. Paul showed us how it was done. He shot consistant all day in some pretty tough conditions. It was his day and we are all proud of the way he shot. I believe Paul was shooting a BRX. He will be tough at the Nationals in two weeks. Congratulations on some great shooting, Paul.

Sam Hall...What else can I say......Sam is another tough shooter. He is just one of a very few who has shot a 50 with a group under an inch. Good shooting, Sam. That should be a new Heavy Gun score record.

Of course Terry Brady is always one to watch, and it was good to see Ray Lowman do some good shooting. Ray took home some well deserved wood.

We had a good day at Piedmont yesterday, and a bunch of shooters as well. I got to meet and shoot beside Charles Ballard. Charles just set a new F-Class 1000yd record. Congratulations to you, Charles. That had to be some tough shooting in 104 degree heat laying on the ground.

I had a good time yesterday, and the guys and gals at Piedmont put on a good match..Thanks to all of them.
