Patchout/Wipeout ??

I use both patchout and wipeout on my bolt guns and am happy with it.
I just got an AR and was wondering whether these products are safe to use on AR's as it will likely get in the gas tube.

I always sprayed "Gunscrubber" or Brake Cleaner down the gas tube to make sure it was clear.
