Just bought a used barrel from a Panda actioned rifle. Screwed it on my Panda & the lettering for the caliber was a half turn off. Took the firing pin assembly out of the bolt; put a single layer of scotch tape on case head & inserted it . It closed but with noticeable force to close. Added another layer of tape & won't close at all. Am I good to go?
 
There were periods of time that the threads of Panda actions weren't synced. Kelblys has a gage ring to line up the lettering on new barrels for those actions.

Since the GO to NOGO measurement is about 0.004" I'd say you are fine.
