Panda and VIper thread

I may have asked this before.
I have a 1979 vintage Stolle Panda
and an early Stiller Viper SN 13
Do they have the same threads?
Ted

I believe the PD is a little different.
Butch
Wouldn't the Pitch Diameter be different only if the two actions were are a different class thread? I don't know how action makers pick which thread class they are going to build to but I would guess is would be a tighter class of fit than say a standard bolt. I never really got into the engineering part of thread classes. I do know most of the how and why for tread classes exist but they were never exciting enough to make a study of.

OK
THanks I have a still good SHILEN LV barrel on my older Stolle and would like to put it on my Stiller/ Speedy Glue in. I guess it would just need to be cut off at the threads and started all over again.

Now that we see what you want to do I'd call Jerry Stiller, he'll know.

As I remember, the early Vipers had a tapered thread, but this was in the action, not the barrel. Don't know about the pre-drop-port's cone -- the drop port used a different extractor, and the cone was very different. Later, I believed the cone was completely "dropped" in the drop port.

But yes, the best advice is to email Stiller.

Thanks for all of the Replies. If I thought I could get a new barrel in time I would just order one. But I don't think they could have a 1/12 .257 barrel done in time for the Blue bonnet.
