This is not firearms related, but I am proud of NASA today. They went with proven technology (we went to the moon!) and had a flawless flight today! Testing of the Orion. If this inappropriate post I am sorry for that and will delete it.

Bill (Trout),
That must have been quite a show. Bet you could see the launch from all over FL. I still remember sitting on a beach in New Symra and watching (and feeling) a shuttle launch.
I wonder if the NASA guys argue amongst themselves, like we do, on wind deflection and trajectory. Probably would have missed the Moon several times if they did!!!

Hi Joe,
Unfortunately it was too cloudy in Arcadia to see. I have seen other launches (mostly at night). I watched the streaming video on internet. It was very cool. To me it's about time we went back to proven technology that took us to the moon. If the USA had continued towards Mars after the moon there would be Mc Donalds there!

Bill,
I bet that the Big Macs would be a bit out of my price range!! Remember that it was NASA that developed the first cordless power tools, a drill was about $27,000.00 so a burger on Mars= $$$$$$$$$. All that way for no service and they probably would not speak English either!!!!!

to understand that if we do not fund NASA and the Space Program till it hurts, this species is doomed to end up on the scrap heap of evolution and survival. The Human Race will NOT survive on the Earth alone. Without going out to the stars we are DOOMED!!!!! I will give every dollar I earn and my next 10 generations can earn to get off this speck of dust. Without that kind of commitment, we might as well crawl under the sod now.

Dave, I'd give every dollar I earn and your next 10 generations can earn to get you off this speck too!

(Sorry, you walked right into that one and I couldn't resist)

Merry Christmas
